Giving back to nature and communities
Together with our safari partners, we have been very fortunate to run several conservation and sustainability projects around Nairobi, Kenya. Thank you very much for your continued support, as we continue to change lives and ecosystems.
SUPPORTING WOMEN BIRDERS IN NAIROBI
As part of our tours, we have a dedicated project to train or support the careers of women birders in Nairobi. The goal is to help the ladies acquire birding gear (binoculars and telescopes) and guide books.
We then expose them to birding tours where they can learn the art of guiding ornithologists.
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS
Our team works closely with several schools around Nairobi. We work through the Education for Sustainable Development guidelines, to help schools develop environmental programmes.
CONTRIBUTION TO CITIZEN-SCIENCE PROJECTS
Our guides are trained on several citizen-science projects, where we all contribute data and sightings during tours. This data helps grow the Science on these very exciting animals and plants. The projects include:
