Nairobi National Park Birding Day Tour

NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK BIRDING DAY TOUR

Trip duration

1 day

DAY 1: NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK

We shall start the Nairobi National Park Birding Day Tour from your hotel or house. Our guide shall pick you up and drive to the park’s entrance gate. You may spot some few roadside birds during the drive to the national park. Enjoy the culture and rhythm of Nairobi City, as you drive along.

Our main birding adventure will then commence as we sample the various habitats within the park. Most of the birding will be done from the vehicle, but some designated picnic areas allow birdwatching on foot.

During our birdwatching drive, we shall enjoy many different roads, across the savannah grasslands, around local wetlands and also inside the park’s forest. We shall also visit the famous ivory burning site, a spot that is quite popular on our Nairobi National Park Birding Day Tours.

Nairobi National Park is one of the best birdwatching destinations in the world. The park and the neighbouring areas have a birds checklist of over 500 species. This is spiced up by a huge array of mammals and reptiles, which we shall enjoy during the birding tour. Nairobi National Park is also famous for being the only national park within a capital city. The park is located just 7 kilometres from the city centre, making it a superb urban park. It covers an area of about 117 square kilometres.

We shall then drop you off back to your hotel or other desired spot within the city. This marks the end to our exciting Nairobi National Park Birding Day Tour.
